About Us

Farming the Future

Located in the Appalachian Mountains of Southwestern Virginia, C & H Solutions LLC is a family operated business that understand the importance of loyalty. Our family has been farming the same land since prior to the Civil War. With such a long history, we take pride in our ability to continually meet the needs of our clients. We believe in providing a high-quality product with service to match.

Each year, C & H produces open-pollinated corn varieties to supply commercial distilleries, hobby distillers, bakers and other growers in the form of seed. We have had experience in growing several varieties, with our most popular being Hickory King White and Bloody Butcher. Not only does the quality of our product set us apart from the competition, but so does our availability to our clients.

In January of 1941, Kemper Hartsock joined what was then called the American Aberdeen-Angus Breeder’s Association (now American Angus Association) becoming one of the first to bring Angus cattle to Southwest Virginia/Northeast Tennessee. Since then we have continued to breed angus cattle for both seed stock and feeder calves. In June of 2020, we rebranded our cattle operation as Hartsock Angus with more of a focus placed on improving genetics that will positively impact producers bottom line. We are excited about the new direction of our cow/calf operation and look forward to improving each and every year.
